Deborah L. Withrow, CPA
Deborah began her accounting career in 1979 while still in high-school where she got her first job with Super X and was trained to do their bookkeeping. She soon left there and moved into the field of tax at The Ohio Department of Taxation (yes she’s been working with State Tax forms since 1980). After working at the Department for eight years, she decided to shift her focus to the corporate world and began a 16 year journey with Abbott Laboratories, RPD. During her years there she attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Franklin University and held various positions in start-up project teams, accounting/finance, and management. Deborah left Abbott and started a small business of her own called The Sanctuary Tea Room located in Grove City (she can relate closely to the time investment of a new business start-up). During her career, Deborah gained valuable experience in a variety of areas and decided to use that knowledge on her own in 2006 when she began doing individual and small business accounting and taxes.
Deborah is a member of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), NATP (National Association of Tax Professionals), and OSCPA (Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants). She volunteers with GWA (Girls with Attitude) a not-for-profit organization that strives to help women and girls of all ages and Operation CPA which provides free tax services to the families of men and women who are on active duty in combat zones.
When it’s NOT January 1st through April 15th she attends Leave A Mark Church’s Biker weekend which she enjoys. She has a rescue dog named Moses (she brought him home from the desert in Monument Valley) and a rescue cat named Tilley (a neighborhood stray)! She also likes spending time with her family and friends, checking out the newest restaurants in town, and LOVES beach vacations!
